Support for Newer Knitters

Did you know that we now offer our Continuing Knitting class on Sunday mornings at 10 a.m.? This is a great class for newer knitters or anyone who wants to branch out and broaden their knitting horizons. With the help of knowledgeable instructor Hannah Ingalls, you’ll pick out a project and then work on at your own pace. Everyone in the class is working on something different, so you have the opportunity to compare ideas and learn new techniques. The next session of the six-week class starts Sunday, June 3.

Thank You, LYS Tour-ists!

Thank you, everyone who participated in the 2012 LYS Tour! It was great meeting so many of you from near and far. Congratulations to those who won our daily door prizes of bags, yarn and notions donated by our sponsor companies. Our featured tour patterns were very popular and are still available for free at the store. The Slouchy Hat: Simple, Striped or Spicy pattern has three variations. It was knit in The Fibre Company’s Acadia, a delicious, slubby mix of merino, baby alpaca and silk. There’s already a beautiful one in greens on Ravlery.

The CCCCC scarf is a crocheted, convertible, chevron cowl in Rowan’s subtly variegated Colourspun yarn.
