Saturday: Baby Surprise Jacket, 10:30 to 12:30 p.m. First of three sessions. $60 plus supplies.  Elizabeth Zimmermann was a seminal figure in modern knitting. Her Baby Surprise Jacket, knit completely in garter stitch, is constructed in one piece and folds up into a delightfully geometric shape. Contact the store for registration information.

Clapoktus, 1 to 3 p.m. First of two sessions. $40 plus supplies. The shawl with the funny name combines elements of two well-known patterns, the Clapotis and the Baktus. Working side to side, you learn to deliberately drop stitches to create a lacy laddered pattern. Contact the store for registration information.

Bias Lace Scarf, 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. First of two sessions. $40 plus supplies. A great introduction to simple lace knitting, this scarf creates diagonal bands of texture and color. Contact the store for registration information.
