Not Just a Knitting Store

If you're a knitter (or non-knitter) who's ever thought of branching out in new directions, we've got plenty of options coming up in the next few months.

Needle-felting is great fun and needs no experience. In our Sculpting With Felting Needles class, February 9, we'll teach you how to make small objects like animals and flowers with unspun yarn and a needle. The options are endless!

If you've ever wanted to weave but were leery of huge looms, we can teach you on one of our 10- or 15-inch Cricket looms. A full-day introductory class is coming up on Feb. 22.

For aspiring spinners, we have a group that meets every first Friday of the month. We also offer drop-spindling classes (the next one in March), and have lovely, portable Sidekick wheels for purchase.

We also teach crochet, needlepoint and more. Check our classes page for more details, and widen your fiber horizons.

A Taste of Tiramisu

If you've always wanted to crochet but haven't known where to start, our winter crochetalong is just the thing for you.
The Tiramisu baby blanket is a free, simple beginner pattern with an elegant ribbon edging. It's made out of organic, soft, washable Blue Sky Organic Cotton. Best of all, we'll teach you how to crochet it for free!
Just join us on January 26 from 12:30 to 2:30 for our Tiramisu kickoff and purchase the materials for the project. We'll show you the simple single-crochet stitch that's all you need for the bulk of the project. Then join us again toward the end of the project and we'll show you how to edge the blanket.
This also a terrific project for those who already know how to crochet and want to practice their skills. And P.S., if there are no babies in your life, it makes a lovely lap blanket for chilling out at home.
